Project introduction:
A nearly 100-year-old research institute in Germany, whose research involves architectural physics fields such as acoustics, energy efficiency, indoor climate, hygiene and sensor technology, temperature and humidity, and recycling of building materials. It aims to improve people's living and working environment, optimize the implementation of architectural planning and building performance, and conform to sustainable development.
The Institute has rich practical experience in optimizing gas sensing system and chemical analysis. Because different people perceive odor in different ways, and the odor threshold of many odor-active compounds is very low, far below the detection limit of chemical analysis and measurement system, so it is difficult to objectively evaluate. Therefore, a specific analysis method is needed for detection. In order to identify and quantify odorous substances, standard instrumental analysis (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry) was combined with human perception (olfactometry) to determine the source of odorous substances and the process of their formation. When evaluating the odor, the commercially a vailable eight-funnel system is used to continuously discharge different concentrations of acetone, or the internally developed single-funnel system is used to discharge different acetone concentrations or pi values, and then the results are presented by the comparison scale of the odor measurement system.
The odor intensity represented by Pi value is as follows:
0-1 pi almost imperceptible s mell
2-3 pi, a particularly weak s mell
4-5 pi weak s mell
6-7 pi has obvious s mell
8-9 pi strong s mell
10-12 pi, especially strong s mell
> 13 pi strong s mell
Acetone concentration can also indicate odor intensity according to the above seven grades.
Advantages of the project:
It is an odor analysis center certified by the German Committee.
Cooperation mode:
Cooperate in the form of technical service agreement and provide project design.
