Since its establishment, in accordance with the positioning of building a circular economy demonstration industrial park, the southern district (Mulitu Industrial Park) has been positioned as the largest fermentation industrial base in eastern Inner Mongolia, and the eastern area (eastern suburb industrial park) has been positioned as a base for deep processing of aluminum products, deep processing of agricultural and livestock products, machinery manufacturing, medicine and chemical industry. At present, the park has 95 enterprises settled around advantageous characteristic industrial clusters. In February 2007, Horqin Industrial Park was listed as the first batch of circular economy demonstration zones in the autonomous region; In January 2008, the industrial park ranked third in the selection of "Top 10 Industrial Development Zones in Inner Mongolia".
