On July 22, 2009, Jiangsu Jiangyin Software Park successfully passed the evaluation of the software industry base and backbone enterprises of the National Torch Plan. The park is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River in Jiangyin, close to Jiangyin Port District and urban area, with a planned area of 2 square kilometers and a total construction area of 1.6 million square meters. Jiangyin has been ranked first in the national county economic competitiveness for seven consecutive years, and Jiangyin Software Park will rely on the advantages of the top 100 counties in the country and developed manufacturing industry to become bigger and stronger software park.
