Project introduction:
A family business in Essen, Germany, was established in 1969, providing various types of sensors, condition monitoring, image processing/recognition, security technology, industrial communication, digital form, mobile machine system, display/operation/lighting, IIoT solutions, connection technology, power supply, accessories and so on for industrial production enterprises.
The new intelligent IO-Link vibration sensor developed by the company can continuously detect the vibration in all three spatial directions, which is helpful to realize simple and extensible state monitoring in a single device.
The vibration of the machine is an important feature to evaluate the current situation. Damage to rolling bearings and other machine parts can be detected at an early stage before the expensive machine stops. This new intelligent IO-Link vibration sensor is designed to help realize a simple and extensible condition monitoring system-all in one device.
The new VVB30x condition monitoring sensor can continuously record the vibration in all three spatial directions. According to the measured values, the sensor calculates the information of verified state indicators for evaluating the state of the machine: fatigue (v-RMS), mechanical friction (a-RMS), impact (a-Peak) and bearing wear (peak coefficient). In addition, the surface temperature is transmitted as an additional wear indicator. The sensor also provides a series of intelligent functions: in the basic condition monitoring version, the sensor can continuously analyze the imbalance in the machine and communicate reliably when necessary. In addition, the sensor records the running time of the machine according to the vibration level related to the machine, which is another useful parameter in modern maintenance. In the condition monitoring version of Data Science, the equipment also provides an intelligent bearing demodulation method for reliable and continuous bearing analysis, which is called "Bearing Scout".
The new vibration sensor relies on IO-Link for data transmission, equipment diagnosis and parameterization. This allows users to carry out vibration monitoring and analysis in SCADA system, regardless of the manufacturer, using standard fieldbus protocol or at the same time through standardized MQTT or HTTPS interface in IT system. With the help of moneo IIoT platform, a series of intelligent additional functions are provided for root cause fault analysis, which makes it easy to implement IT-based condition monitoring. Configuration through IO-Link is also simple: according to the corresponding machine category of ISO 20816-3, the predefined limit configuration file is directly stored in the device, and it can be adapted to the corresponding target application through corresponding system commands. If the limit is exceeded, the integrated BLOB ring buffer can perform detailed error cause analysis without moneo. If necessary, it can automatically provide up to 12 seconds of raw data. In addition, the sensor has an internal eigenvalue history, which can provide insight into the past nine days.
