Project introduction:
A small and medium-sized enterprise in Norway was established in 2011. It is an award-winning and ambitious company with the goal of bringing environmental and economic benefits to customers in the power industry, especially in energy-intensive industries.
The company has developed future-oriented innovative energy storage technology to convert waste heat into renewable energy. In cooperation with Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, the company successfully completed a prominent and externally verified pilot project in Masdar City (Abu Dhabi), which proved the advantages of this technology. Cooperation with suppliers, development partners, internationally renowned engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies and R&D institutions are all important contributors as energy storage leaders in power generation and energy-intensive industries.
The company provides flexible and cost-effective thermal energy storage (TES) systems for customers in power generation, energy-intensive manufacturing and renewable energy industries. Now, the company has successfully launched several large-scale industrial integrations of Nests driven by patented thermal battery technology, and is ready to promote industrial energy transformation. Thermal battery solutions decarbonize energy supply by electrifying industrial heat and recycling waste heat into on-demand energy. The company also provides large-scale energy storage for solar thermal power plants and other zero-emission power plants. It ranks among the TOP100 global carbon emission reduction innovations.
Patented technology of thermal energy storage on how to convert heat into green energy;
(1) In order to charge, heat transfer fluid (HTF) directly flows through the embedded steel pipe from top to bottom to transfer heat energy to its core storage material.
(2) Energy is stored with little heat loss before it is needed.
(3) During the discharge process, the flow rate is reversed; Cold heat transfer fluid (HTF) flows in and out from the bottom to provide energy from the top of the battery. A thermal battery uses water/steam as a heat transfer fluid, acts as a steam cooler and condenser in a charging mode, and acts as a boiler and superheater in a discharging mode, using the same principles as steam generators installed in traditional and solar thermal power plants.
The core of all the company's energy storage solutions is modular and extensible thermal battery technology, which is a solid-state high-temperature thermal energy storage. It is integrated with customer application and single process on site, and can be inserted into an independent system using hot oil or steam as heat transfer fluid to charge and discharge green energy as required.
