Project introduction:
The center is a research center in the fields of genome analysis and big data. Founded by five different partners from Italy and abroad, it aims to achieve scientific and clinical goals.
The research center is dedicated to personalized, preventive and predictive medical research on neurodevelopmental diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and tumor diseases.
The construction of the center is the result of the research consortium led by the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT). Members of the consortium include Università della Valle d'Aosta, Città della Salute e della Scientiza di Torino, Fondazione Clé ment Filietroz-Onlus Osservatorio Astronomico della Region Autonoma Valle d 'Aosta and Engineering D.HUB.
In addition to research activities, CMP3VdA has also established a network with other local research institutions to deepen the genome research of specific animals and plants, agriculture and cultural heritage.
To study the genome of patients with complex diseases, the genetic composition of these diseases has great influence on the onset, development and treatment management. These diseases are also called "multifactorial diseases", and there are interactions among heredity, lifestyle and environmental impact.
Therefore, four of the five research fields focus on this kind of diseases: neurodegenerative diseases, neurodevelopmental disorders, tumor diseases, transplantation genomics research, and the fifth research direction is the study of healthy people in Valle Dhaos Tower.
