Project introduction:
"Clean wood" is a kind of recyclable composite material, which is made of natural fiber fabric and wood veneer. In this process, the two materials are laminated in an alternating sequence, and modifiers or adhesives are added to form composite materials. Compared with the traditional laminated wood products, the mechanical properties and dimensional stability of these materials have changed significantly because of the combination of their components and special pretreatment methods.
Challenge:
The typical feature of laminated wood products such as plywood is that there is a significant difference in the direction dependence of fiber orientation: the tensile and shear tensile strength of the surface layer in the fiber direction is usually significantly higher than that in the grain direction of the surface layer. Therefore, plywood products show significant orthotropic differences, and their application in some buildings is limited.
Solution:
The recyclable composite material developed by scientists is a combination of various wood veneers and natural fiber materials. Adding natural fiber braided layers between veneer layers and loading a single composite layer with modifier by plasma pretreatment can compensate the orthogonal difference of typical material characteristics of wood veneer materials in new wood composites.
Advantages:
+Improved stability
+Improve the absorption of impregnant after plasma treatment.
+Simple, fast and secure applications
+New application fields of plywood
Application:
Like plywood, this kind of wood has a wide range of applications, which can be used in applications that require high quality, such as fracture, crack and distortion resistance and high-strength plates.
