Industry: Energy conservation and environmental protection   Region: France   Transaction price: US$ 1 million   Transaction method: equity investment

Project introduction:

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Toulouse, the company focuses on the field of hydrogen energy, especially for heavy vehicles. Its goal is to break through the obstacles that restrict the industrialization of hydrogen energy cells, that is, the weight and cost of fuel cells. Among the core components of fuel cell, bipolar plate is an electric energy conversion system, accounting for 75% of the total weight and 30% of the total cost. By using polymer resin and carbon fiber composite instead of heavy graphite plate or unreliable metal plate, this assembly is innovated, which reduces the mass of bipolar plate by half and greatly prolongs its service life, while the price is still competitive.

This patented technology is the result of cooperation between Laplace Laboratory of French Academy of Sciences and Clément Ader Institute. In 2020 and 2021, it has received 600,000 euros from the French Environment and Energy Administration (Ademe) and 500,000 euros from the French National Investment Bank and Occitanie Region. These funds have been used to invest 1.7 million euros to build a production line, and it is planned to produce 10,000 bipolar plates every year before the end of summer 2023.

Cooperation mode:

The company is now seeking investment cooperation.
