Project introduction:
A German company is committed to the research and development of air disinfection solutions. Traditional air purification systems use special filters called high efficiency particulate air/static filters (HEPA). These filters can filter viruses and other dangerous substances in the air, but they cannot eliminate them. They only collect pathogens in the filtration system, and the contaminated filters are toxic wastes. The company provides an air disinfection system using patented technology, which does not need filters to provide safe air, and can completely damage and eliminate pathogens and volatile organic compounds (VOC) without lea ving toxic waste.
The system uses the following new technologies:
1. Photocatalytic oxidation of titanium dioxide: The reaction chamber consists of a patent layer with a special form of titanium dioxide, which can stir up water in the air and generate hydroxyl and hydrogen free radicals when irradiated. These free radicals will react with biological probes such as viruses and fungal spores. During the reaction, cell walls and other biological components will be damaged, resulting in the disappearance of biological samples. The reaction product is water and a s mall amount of carbon dioxide.
2. Ionization: Ionization is extracted from the air through the aggregation of ionic bonds and the consequent gra vity, effectively removing large air pollutants, such as cigarette s moke, animal dander and odorous organic compounds. Other air ionizers are at risk of producing ozone, which is a highly active compound known to ha ve negative effects on health. This technology is certified to be ozone-free in purified and disinfected air.
3. Ultra violet irradiation: Ultra violet rays in a specific wa velength range are highly bactericidal, that is, destructive to pathogenic microorganis ms. When virus, bacteria or mold spores are exposed to UV-C radiation, the DNA and cell wall structure of these microorganis ms will be irreversibly damaged, thus preventing the cells from further replicating and making them harmless.
