Description of Requirement: .
An Italian company active in the field of air treatment plants has developed an environmentally friendly device that reduces the hydrogen sulfide content by biological treatment without the need for chemical agents. The device can be used for biogas desulfurization. The company is looking for trade intermediaries (distributors/agents/representatives) to distribute, represent or provide its factories or services in external markets.
details:
The company was established in northern Italy in 1985 and operates in the field of air pollution treatment. Their products include research, projects and construction of plants of the type used to purify gaseous pollutants, and their customers are active in various sectors of the industry, especially in the waste-to-energy sector. In 2015, the company developed an eco-friendly plant based on a bioprocess aimed at reducing hydrogen sulfide levels in waste treatment.
The anaerobic fermentation process of wastes produces biogas, namely methane, which contains high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide (H2S), which is highly corrosive to production facilities.
The plant includes a tower for biogas desulfurization and reagent recovery, thus simultaneously reducing the consumption of sodium hydroxide (used cleaning agent). Inside the tower, the biogas is scrubbed countercurrently at low speed. Due to the use of suitable packaging materials with a bilge surface area, the design of the equipment allows a large contact surface between the biogas and the scrubbing solution. The liquid is then pumped into a recovery tank, where the salts contained in the solution are converted into insoluble solids by blowing in air. In certain tank farms, elemental sulphur and sulfates settle out and are then easily removed. At the end of the process, the clean liquid is sent back to be used again via the circulating pump from the tank to the tower.
Before the biogas is discharged from the top of the tower, it passes through the mist eliminator and the alveolar pack to separate droplets to prevent the residual reagent solution.
The entire process is carefully controlled by operating parameters such as temperature, pH, oxygen levels and nutrients. When installed in processing plants where biogas flow or hydrogen sulfide concentration changes dynamically, desulfurization units have been shown to adapt quickly.
Plant efficiency under good conditions has been demonstrated to achieve a 90% reduction in hydrogen sulfide emissions.
