Project introduction

The company, headquartered in southern Sweden, has developed a new ventilation system that can provide clean air for operating rooms to prevent air-borne surgical site infections.

The company has 250 installations in Sweden and the Netherlands and laboratories in Sweden and Germany to study different ventilation solutions for operating rooms.

Affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, the demand for clean air outside operating rooms is also increasing. The system can be customized for different areas such as operating rooms, laboratories, CSSD, ICU, isolation rooms and pharmacies. It can protect patients and reduce the risks of workers.

There are currently three solutions to protect patients from airborne bacterial particles:

1. Closed clothing system, which can prevent particles/bacteria from leaving the body and entering the air.

2. Limit the number of hospital staff.

3. Effective ventilation that sucks and/or dilutes the levels of CFU (colony forming units) in the air and prevents them from reaching the wound or instrument.

The company's third solution is to provide effective ventilation throughout the operating room to prevent airborne bacterial particles and viruses. The company's ventilation equipment occupies a small space and can be easily installed on the ceiling without noise disturbing the work of the staff.

The ventilation system also provides low microbial load (CFU), saves 30% energy compared to the traditional system, and does not require an additional heating system in the operating room.

Cooperation intention

The product has been listed in Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Norway. The company is looking for Chinese partners to jointly explore the Chinese market.
