The project content
PROINVERSION, Peru's private investment promotion agency, issued a special public tender for the award of two radio bands
Franchise:
1. Aws-3 band: "1750-1780mhz and 2150-2180 bands", 30+ 30MHz overall bidding for at least 510 communities in Cajamarca, Piura, Tumbes, and 543 communities near Peru to provide 4G mobile access network services.
Connectivity between the VRAEM Valley and the Peruvian jungle is at least: 118 communities. At least 37 districts in Loreto (26), Madre de Dios (4) and Ucayali (7).

The 4G mobile access network will be implemented in at least 156 Cajamarca and Piura communities and 234 communities around Peru.
The implementation of these projects will encourage infrastructure investment in areas of the country that do not currently have mobile coverage and narrow the national digital divide.
The overall characteristics of the
Design, implementation, operation and maintenance of 1.4g mobile access networks using 4G LTE-A or higher.
2. Cover at least 60 per cent of the number of communities in the first concession year. The balance can be applied in the following year.
3. So far, the beneficiary community has no type of movement to cover.
4. The required speed is 6 Mbps for download and 1 Mbps for upload.
5. Commitment to 'Connectivity between VRAEM and the Peruvian jungle'. The following technological solutions may be implemented: (0) GEO HTS and N-GEO satellite solutions, (I) high-altitude platforms (HAPS) and (I) low-altitude testability balloon-type platforms (LAPS).
Project requirement
Operators receiving the new spectrum will be required to provide public telecommunications services, including mobile broadband, with better coverage characteristics, more data transmission capacity, and greater use of 4G technology (covering 1,561 locations with a population of more than 300,000).
