Located in the town of Gadžin Han, 30km south of the city of Nis in southern Serbia, the Serbian company is mainly engaged in the mining, processing and mining of calcium carbonate and has a 25-year mineral rights to the calcite carbonate mine (3.5 hectares of land) with proven reserves of 1.4 million tons. The calcite raw material proved to be one of the best calcite in the world. Calcite carbonate has high purity (about 99.6%) and high whiteness (about 96%), suitable for a variety of industrial uses.
The production process
The raw material is roughed and processed by means of a two-way "coarse mill". The calcite is converted into particles of 1-2 cm in size, which are then fed into a large 12 to 15 ton ball mill for further grinding into the smaller particles required. The next stage is a fine grinding process in the "Small Particle Jet Mill classifier" where the calcium carbonate is separated according to the required size as the final product. Depending on the requirements of the buyer, the calcites can be packed in giant bags of 35-50 kg or loaded directly into a tank truck. Calcite powder is coated in a stearic acid compound if the lot concerned is intended for use by plastic/PVC buyers.
