Project introduction:
Suction pile (also called "suction barrel" or "suction barrel") is a steel cylindrical structure with an open bottom and a closed top, which can be integrated with the upper jacket. It is named because it looks like an inverted barrel and is driven by suction. During installation, the suction pile is driven by its own weight, and then the seawater in the pile is pumped out by a suction pump to form a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the pile, and the suction pile is driven into the designed mud depth.
Suction pile has the advantages of accurate positioning, high construction efficiency, low cost, low noise, large lateral force and torsion moment, simple recovery, reusability and little influence by the increase of water depth, so it has been used more and more. Suction pile jacket foundation has been commercialized in European anemometers, offshore booster stations, offshore fan foundations, offshore oil platforms, offshore ship maintenance bases and aircraft carrier offshore simulation training platforms.
